Langar Organized at Chheharta Chowk in Memory of Saints and Spiritual Leaders
Amritsar, March 1 (K.L. Jit Walia) – A grand langar (community meal) was organized at Chheharta Chowk in the West constituency in sacred memory of saints and spiritual leaders. The langar was arranged by overseas social worker Manish Kumar (Australia) with the support and cooperation of local residents.
On this occasion, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Dilbagh Singh Wadala attended as a special guest and inaugurated the langar distribution service. Remembering the teachings of saints and spiritual leaders, he said that service to humanity is the greatest form of service, and such religious and social programs help strengthen unity and brotherhood in society.
Dilbagh Wadala appreciated Manish Kumar’s efforts, saying that despite living abroad, his continued connection with his hometown and contribution to social service is commendable. He added that such initiatives serve as an inspiration for the youth.
Among those present at the event were Shri Ajaypal Singh Wadaich, Nimat Sharma, along with a large number of shopkeepers and local residents. Devotees partook in the langar with devotion and praised the arrangements.
During the langar, volunteers ensured proper discipline and cleanliness throughout the event. At the conclusion of the program, the organizers thanked everyone and expressed their commitment to continue such social service activities in the future.
